1.5 hrs Drive & 3-4 hrs Trek  Lodge

Today we will take another short drive of about one and half hour towards Nayapul - the starting point of our trek. From Nayapul we start our trek on the trail that goes through rhododendron and oaks filled forest towards Ghandruk - a Gurung community village.  At Ghandruk we can visit the Gurung museum which has been well preserved and is probably the main point of attraction after the scenic view of the surrounding mountains. We will spend our overnight at Ghandruk.

Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

     5-6 hrs Trek  Lodge

After breakfast, we leave Ghandruk and follow the fastest and popular trail via Kot Danda and Kimrong. A steady climb for some time will lead us to Taulung, from where we ascend a long and steep stone staircase to reach Chhomrong. Chhomrung is a Gurung Village, and the highest permanent settlement in the valley with a tremendously vast view across to Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare. Our day ends with an overnight stay in Chhomrung.

Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

     5-6 hrs Trek  Lodge

From Chhomrung we will follow the trail that descends down to cross a suspension bridge over Chhomrung Khola (river). After crossing the bridge our trail climbs gradually through beautiful rhododendron forests and heads up towards Sinuwa. From Sinuwa, we will follow the slightly rising trail that passes through oak and rhododendron forest interspersed with large stands of Bamboo. Along the route, we can get the glimpses of Langur Monkeys jumping from one tree to another. We trek until we arrive at Bamboo, where there are few tea houses.

Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

     4-5 hrs Trek  Lodge

After breakfast, we leave Bamboo and follow the trail that is almost covered with many tree roots. Our trail goes steeply down along the bank of rocks and then levels out. From there we continue our trek on the trail that winds steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Doban. From Doban the forest becomes more impressive with large rhododendrons covered in Spanish moss and pockets of orchids. In about an hour we will arrive at the Himalayan Hotel.

Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

     4-5 hrs Trek  Lodge

Leaving Himalaya Hotel, our trail climbs through dense forest to a large rock overhanging - known as Hinku Cave. Our trek continues as we follow the slightly rising trail towards Deurali. Soon the valley broadens and fine birch forest fills the far banks. Two obvious rock pillars mark the 'gateway' to the Sanctuary, which suddenly opens out to broad grassy slopes and a series of teahouses at Machhapuchre Base Camp. Many trekkers begin to feel the effects of altitude at MBC, so it is a good idea to initially rest and enjoy views of Machhapuchre, Gangapurna and Annapurna South.

Meals: All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

     4-5 hrs Trek  Lodge

After breakfast at MBC, we will follow the trail that climbs an ancient moraine covered by grass to the west of MBC.
