Mohare and Khopra Community Trek

This trek trail is popularly known as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri Community base Eco lodge trek takes to you Mohare Danda (3300m), Kopra ridge locally known as Khopra ridge and Khayer (Khair Tal) lake. It is a recently promoted community base Eco-trail to take away from the busier trails of Annapurna region but provides similarly outstanding views of the Himalayas including Mount Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchchhre (fishtail), Nilgiri and many other snow-capped mountains and hills. Another attraction of this trek is the holy Khair Lake (Khayer Tal), which requires a little experience of high attitude because it is situated at 4600 meters from the sea level but it is not necessary to go Khayar Lake to complete the this trek means possible to skip Khair Lake from Khopra. This trek is suitable for every dedicated trekker as the most regions of this trail are more strenuous and experiences are profoundly lavish thick pine, oak, rhododendron and bamboo woods. This trekking have the views of exquisite vistas, crossing delightful ethnic tribes of Magar, Gurung, Kami, Damai, Chetri and Brahmin villages boasting its flawlessly terraced cultivating terrains. 

This trek is also famous for village tourism and the trekkers will have chance to stay in the local family run homestay, community lodges and teahouses. This trek trail was promoted and develops by local community to grow the economic status of this area people from tourism. Benefits from community lodges and homestay specially use for schools of this area. There are many options of itineraries for this trek. Most of Trekkers can include Myagdi Tatopani (hot spring) on their itinerary to taking a bath in natural hot spring but after Kopra there is alternative route to end the trek go via Tadapani and Ghandruk for those who are not willing to go Tatopani (Hot spring).

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival at the Tribuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,345m) Overnight at a hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and trek preparation
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m) by tourist bus – 7 hrs.
Day 04: Pokhara drive to Galeshwor then trek Bas Kharka (1525m) 3 hours Overnight at Homestay  
Day 05: Trek to Nagi (2230m) 5-6 hours. Overnight at Community Lodge/Homestay
Day 06: Trek to Mohare (Hill) Danda (3300m) 6-7 hours. Overnight at Community Lodge/Homestay
Day 07: Short trek to Danda Kharka (2800m) 2-3 hours Overnight at Community Lodge/Homestay
Day 08: Trek to Tikot (2300m) 6-7 hours. Overnight at Community Lodge / Homestay 
Day 09: Trek to Swanta (2,200m) 6-7 hours. Overnight at Community Lodge/Homestay
Day 10: Trek to Chistibung 3000m.4 hours Overnight at Community Lodge
Day 11: Trek to Khopra (3,660m) 5-6 hours Overnight at Community Lodge
Day 12: Day trip to Khayer Lake (4600m) and back to Khopra Overnight at Community Lodge
Day 13: Trek to Narchyang (1510m) 6-7 hours Overnight at Homestay
Day 14: Trek to Tatopani (1190m)5-6 hours Overnight at Teahouse/Lodge 
Day 15: Tatopani drive bus to Beni then Pokhara (820m) overnight at Hotel 
Day 16: Pokhara drive tourist bus to Kathmandu (1350m) Overnight at Hotel
Day 17: Leisure day for shopping or relax overnight at Hotel 
Day 18: Departure from Kathmandu
