Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. There will be time to rest and take in this vibrant city’s energy, before a welcome dinner at a traditional Nepalese Restaurant.
The day will start with a guided tour of Kathmandu’s historical and spiritual attractions including the Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’(Swayambu Nath) and Buddha Nath, one of the largest stupas in the world. In the afternoon there will be pre- trip discussion where you will learn more about the upcoming trip and all your questions will be answered.
After an early breakfast we leave for Chitwan. After checking in and refreshing at the hotel you will be briefed about the full nature program by our nature guide before heading out for some activities. Firstly you will be taken on a guided walk around the village before heading down to the river to see the elephants bathing as the sun sets over the jungle. After dinner there will also be a cultural program.
It will be an early morning wake up to get you ready for the elephant back safari in the Chitwan National Park. After lunch you will have time for a canoe ride or to take part in the elephant bathing.
You will be taken on a walk along the Narayani river where you can find more than 250 species of birds- a paradise for bird watchers! After breakfast we take a drive through the Nepalese countryside all the way to Pokhara. Pokhara is surrounded by some spectacular mountains and during the evening you can explore the town and lakeside.
Early in the morning you will drive up to to Sarangkot to see the sunrise views over the Himalayas. We return to the hotel and after breakfast you will start your full day sightseeing tour with visits around Pokhara city, Davi’s falls, Guptashor cave, Seti Gorge & Bindabasani Temple.
This is a relaxing day where you can enjoy a boat trip on Phewa Lake- the second largest lake in Nepal. There is also a very small island with a little Hindu temple in the middle of the lake which you could visit. You could also take the boat across the lake and visit the famous world peace stupa where you can also take in the spectacular views of the Annapurna Himalayan range and the city of Pokhara with its beautiful crystal clear lake.
Today we return to Kathmandu. It is a scenic drive through typical Nepalese countryside- over the mountains and along the winding rivers. The drive takes about 5 to 6 hours. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
After breakfast you will be transfered to visit Patan Durbar Square. The principal attractions are the fine pagoda temples and stone statues. Durbar Square is full of ancient temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings. After lunch at Patan we also visit Bhaktapur Durbar Squire. The main attractions are the palace with its 55 windows, the pagoda style Nyatapola Temple, Dattatraya Temple and the pottery square.
Today the journey comes to an end. You will be transferred back to the airport for your flight back home or you can start your next adventure… maybe even a trip to Tibet!
