Thamserku Expedition Cost & Expedition
Everest Expeditions Nepal starts after a short flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. After landing at the airstrip of Lukla, we will follow the very popular – Everest Base Camp Trekking trail to Phakding and then further to Namche Bazaar (The Sherpa Capital). After spending a full day rest for safe acclimatization at Namche Bazaar.
We also continue our trek over the trail that heads southwest to reach Thamserku Base Camp. At the Base Camp, we will spend an extra leisure day before heading up towards higher camps. Since the climbing of Mt Thamserku requires a high level of technical skills and physical fitness. Our climbing Sherpa experts will assist you with climbing training programs.
Appropriately furnished with all the climbing gears and completely acclimatized we will take the guidelines of our accomplished climbing specialists. Then after we rise towards higher camps before making a last endeavour to achieve the summit. With the ideal coordination between our accomplished staffs and your inestimable endeavours. In addition, we will effectively overcome the summit of Mt Thamserku.
Our tiring move to the summit is also remunerated with glorious perspectives of world’s transcending mountains including Mt Everest and many different tops inside the Everest area. Having achieved the summit, we descend following the same route back to Base Camp. For the return journey, we will continue to retrace our steps passing through Namche Bazaar to arrive at Lukla. Our adventurous Thamserku Expedition ends with a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu.
Itinerary
Our representative from Everest Expeditions Nepal will meet you at Tribhuwan International Airport on your arrival schedule. You will be greeted and then transferred to the hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city. Our staff will help you until the check-in procedure ends at Hotel. You can either have a rest at the Hotel or visit EEN’s office for gathering additional information about the trip. In the evening, join our welcome dinner program organized by Everest Expeditions Nepal Pvt. Ltd.

We will spend our day sightseeing around some of the attractive world heritage sites within Kathmandu valley. Also, today we will complete all the necessary paper works and other preparations required for Thamserku Expedition with Everest Expeditions Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
Note: It is not possible to visit all world heritage sites in Kathmandu within a day. So you can choose at least 3-4 places for day sightseeing.

30 min Flight & 4-5 hrs Trek Lodge
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will be transferred to the domestic airport for an early morning scenic flight to Lukla. Lukla is the gateway to Khumbu and entire Everest region. After landing at Lukla we start our trek by following the trail that is a gradual uphill journey through the left bank of Dudh Koshi river. Our trail passes along several mani walls before arriving at Ghat. From there, our trail is a mixture of both uphill and downhill trekking towards Phakding.

5-6 hrs Trek Lodge
After breakfast, we leave Phakding and cross a small stream before ascending to reach Bengar. Our trail from there comprises of several ups and downs. We will make a stop at Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park Service where the park entrance fee is collected. After registration at the National Park office, we will make a steep ascent to arrive at Namche Bazaar – The Sherpa Capital. We will spend one more day at Namche Bazaar for exploring and acclimatization.

Today we will take a rest day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and exploration. By now we have reached over 3000 meters above sea level. We will spend our day at Namche Bazaar discovering the Sherpa culture and exploring the busy market streets. Namche Bazaar is an extensive market town where there is always something to see. It is worth making an uphill hike to Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park Museum and the combined villages of Khunde and Khumjung.

6-7 hrs Trek Tented Camp
After spending good day acclimatization and exploration around Namche Bazaar, we will follow the trail that passes through Khumjung. From Khumjung, our trek continues through a beautiful forest filled with rhododendron, pine and birch trees to reach Phunke Tenga. From there we will follow a smaller trail that ascends gradually as we head towards a good campsite at 4,960 meters. Our Sherpa crew will set up the Base Camp and start making necessary preparations for further climbing.

20 days climbing towards Thamserku & back Tented Camp
We will spend several days for acclimatization and climbing training practices. Fully acclimatized and properly equipped with all the climbing equipment we will follow the guidance and footsteps of our experienced Sherpa climbing experts. Several camps will be set up above the base camp before attempting the main summit of Mt Thamserku. Taking weather conditions into consideration, we will overcome several technical sections and head towards the summit. Our long-awaited climb to the summit is rewarded with magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Pumori, Ama Dablam and other surrounding peaks in the Khumbu region. After spending short quality time at the summit of Mt Thamserku, we descend following the same route and head back to Base Camp.

3-4 hrs Trek Lodge
After successfully achieving the target – the summit of Mt Thamserku, we prepare ourselves for the return journey. Following the same trail back, we will retrace our steps and trek to reach back to Namche Bazaar. Feel free to roam around the inspiring town of Namche Bazaar. Also, there are plenty of Souvenir shops at Namche where you might find something interesting for your loved ones.

45 min trek Lodge
Today is the last day of our trek. Leaving Namche Bazaar we will follow the trail that goes through Monjo to Lukla. We will descend passing through dense forest area filled with rhododendron, oak and pine trees. Our trek is a pleasant walk, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote Koshi River crossing it three times. We will make a final uphill climb of approximately about forty -five minutes to reach back to Lukla.

30 min flight Hotel/Resort
Today we take an early morning flight from Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. After landing at Kathmandu airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. You can either have rest at Hotel or pay a visit to attraction destination (world heritage sites of UNESCO) sites that weren’t possible on the second day of the trip. Walking around the busy streets of Kathmandu can be worth spending good time around Kathmandu city. In the evening we will celebrate the successful completion of Thamserku Expedition and have a final meal together before heading back to your own destination.
